Given to me by a friend or from a book exchange shelf where I left a BookCrossing book, or left at one of our OBCZs to be registered, or from a Friends of the Library booksale for BookCrossing. I have not read this book.

Released 7 yrs ago (4/12/2011 UTC) at The Variety Store; Ashley Marina; Lockwood Blvd in Charleston, South Carolina USA

Brought to Lunch with some lovely travelling BookCrossers. I know that some have been listening to another Roach book while travelling and I suspect this'll ebd up with one of them.

Not quite as good as Stiff, but still very entertaining, and full of weird and wonderful facts (and not-so-facts :-)).

Now I've just got to find a copy of Packing for Mars so I can re-read the chapter I slept through...

We listened to Packing for Mars on the way to Houston and Cape Canaveral, and loved it.

Mary Roach has a way of making the most prosaic or horrifying subjects hilarious and I'm looking forward to reading this book.

FutureCat passed it over last night at the BookCrossing Unconvention welcome dinner here in Wellington, New Zealand. I'm suspecting that the books are disappearing from BookCrossing, because the unconvention schedule is all cafes and restaurants, with a release walk to burn off some of the calories.

And what a place to hold a BookCrossing gathering! Spectacular setting between the high hills and the wide harbour, the houses and gardens cling to the slopes and the green of trees and gardens is everywhere. Coffee is an art form and the cafes are the quirky, colourful, atmospheric kind, not a hint of post-modern aluminium and glass anywhere. Students and ancients chatter over lattes or linger over toasties.

Thanks to two dear women for getting this book to me, but move over, please! I'm going to go to bed with Mary Roach tonight!

Only read the first few pages - just wasn't interested. At Canberra Book Crossers' monthly meeting

I actually got this in a goodie bag at the Canberra UnCANvention in November but neglected to journal it - very slack of me!
