The Unbearable Lightness of Being
3 journalers for this copy...
1987 Harper Perennial trade paperback of the 1984 English translation of the popular book by the Czech author. Translated by Michael Henry Heim. This copy is a tie-in to the major motion picture. I found this copy a few days ago in the free books pile on the porch of Dimond Library.
I can let this go after I read:
1969 The Hitchhiking Game (short story) [not yet read]
Edit March 16, 2015: This was interesting in parts, and it shined some light on Czech communism. But it goes all over the place with different tangents, and so it's not my kind of story. I currently have this ranked at #899 on my ranked list of best-read books lately.

... final book in the second package of a year-long trade.
Aside from loving shared books, my main passion in life is supporting the human rights work of my good friend, Anni Cyrus. š š Her life story of survival as a childhood refugee is astounding, and quite moving!
Please look her up on Google and YouTube. You can also follow her on Facebook and Instagram, among other platforms.

A life of decisions,
or maybe indecisions
as the women swarm about.
