Released to a friend who read and enjoyed the book. (She should be making a journal entry soon.) Now, I'm sending this book off to a bookcrosser in Canada.

A good novel ... but can feel quite lengthy at times. Probably some of Atwood's best work (many consider this one her finest novel). I liked it - not loved it, but liked it. Available for release.

I was supposed to journal this earlier than this, but I didn't find the paper I wrote the journal ID on until just a few minutes ago. Sorry, Temp. Tempest had planned to realease this book in the Woman's Literature department for banned books week, but I asked her to let me read it instead.

The characters in this book are not very deep, but that's okay. I don't think the characters are supposed to be deep considering the society they live in, and I think Atwood's main focus was to shock readers with the society itself and the treatment of women. Let's hope this never happens.

Thanks, hootnoodle for sending the book to Tempest, and Thanks, Tempest for allowing me to read this. You two have introduced me to a new author.

I got this book from a friend that was moving back to Nova Scotia. I had heard of it, in fact one of my best friends has the latin quote tattooed on her wrist, which was one of the reasons I was so interested in finally reading it... I enjoyed it, and now Im ready to pass it on. If I don't hear from anyone who would like it, I'll just pass it on to someone locally.

Thanks
