The Glass Lake

Okay, giving this book a rating of 9 is pretty embarassing. But the truth is that I loved this book, just wanted to get back to it while I was reading it, and was sorry when it was over. I also had the same sort of feeling when I was finished that I suspect I would have if I had just eaten an entire bowl of chocolate chip cookie dough. Or more accurately, an entire bag of marshmallows.
Still, I've just discovered this author, I'm going to read all her books, and my only excuse is that her stories entertain me. Thanks, Maeve!

Maeve Binchy writes good stories, not great, just good. They are engaging and well told, but often slow moving without a lot of action and suspense. I like them, but can only read one every once in a while.
It's off to raynebair who, despite the long wait, still wants it.
