An awesome and intelligent thriller, to be sure. This book is scary in a "humanity is evil" way I cannot really explain. A superb tale that entwines the intrigue of archeology, art, money, marketing, and greed...flawless. Unlike a lot in this genre, you cannot predict the end, you will NOT want to put it down until you finish.

Another choice book from the Bookcrossing Meetup tonight... THANK YOU, ironickarma! Didn't mean to snag all of these wild releases of yours... they just looked too good to resist! I will read this one as soon as possible and keep it moving along... If you would like to snag anything else from my bookshelf, just let me know ;)!
Well, ironickarma, you were right! Though I had a difficult time getting into the first chapter (I have never read any of Fairstein's earlier novels and I had to sort out who was who was with who, etc.), I had to read this one straight through... straight through the night and through everything else I had planned! The characters were good, the side action great and the behind-the-scenes look at the museums was really eye-opening! When I was a teenager, I helped out at a university refilling the pickled animal jars with formaldehyde for the biology labs. A creepy job, but very interesting. This book took me right back to those all-too-quiet labs and dark hallways! I would highly recommend this one and I am going to look for this author's other books! Thanks for passing this one along! I'm going to keep it moving on its journey...
A book from bookrelay. Thanks
