This is a wonderful book. There are two main characters. One is Mma Ramotswe, a "lady detective" who is as observant as Hercule Poirot and as tough-minded as Miss Marple. The other main character is the Africa itself, especially the well-run country of Botswana. This book celebrates the mysteries and marvels of ordinary people and ordinary life.
