This was a good book. It stands fine on it's own, yet as you read the sequels it is even more so. The author is quite succesful at taking early plot devices and developing them later on. I think it's great that she did a lot of research, actually, and included a lot of historical facts, that a lot of readers might miss. I know I missed that whole thing about Nicholas Flamel, until later when I was reading something else, and found out he was a real guy! Pretty cool. Don't miss reading this....here's your free copy to get your started!
