A sad and thoughtful book; about influence on the smallest scale and how the interrelationships in a small English town work together to cause harmony, discord, friendships, opponents. A woman opens a bookshop in a remote town where she's lived for ten years (and is still considered to be an outsider). While she causes a flurry of interest--she sells Nabokov's Lolita!--and awakens some of the town's less active members, others are rubbed the wrong way and oust her, in a manner most unbecoming to a small town.

Released on Wednesday, September 17, 2003 at Outside Symphony Space in NYC, New York USA.
