Chopping Spree

The eleventh cooking novel by Diane Davidson has Goldy still in the midst of murder and mayhew, cooking up a storm. And the story and recipes are good!
Thank you Crazy4Cats for introducing me to Diane Mott Davidson!
I'm sorry I've taken so long to finish this book, but I enjoyed the book immensely (hopefully it makes you feel better for having your book out of circulation for so long, knowing that you've turned me on reading ALL books written by Diane Mott Davidson). Your recommendation was right on the money -- she's a GREAT author!
All the scenes describing the preparation (and eating) of food ALMOST made me want to make some of the mouthwatering recipes included in the book! Unfortunately for David, I kept my current unbroken streak of NOT cooking, so he has to take me out to eat if he wants anything more complicated than heated up frozen, or re-heated other people's cooking.
I got interested in reading mysteries thanks to the recommendation of Laurie, my favorite librarian, and I know she recommended Mott Davidson because I've given away two copies of _Dying for Chocolate_, but never read them (more the fool I, since I now have to track down that book again, as well as the rest of Davidson's books). They're THAT GOOD!
I highly recommend reading this, and her other books. They're a wonderful blend of snow (the novel takes place in Colorado ski country), family issues (raising teenagers and happy second marriages), mystery solving (need I say more here) and, of course, cooking (or rather catering, since Golde not only cooks constantly, but is building up an elite catering business [she only solves mysteries on the side]).
Check out this, or any other Diane Mott Davidson mystery and prepare to be enthralled, both visually, but culinarily as your taste buds start dripping when Davidson starts describing the joys of expresso and chocolate.
