I first saw the special on HBO back in the '80's with Michael Crawford and fell in love with the story. When I saw the book at the bookstore, I just had to read the original version.

This was a wonderful book, it was an interesting point of view to read about his life. I had just finished Phantom by Susan Kay, which is his life story told by his mother, himself and a the persian. After reading that story I wanted to read the oringinal and I recommend doing that to anyone else.
This is so cool! I found my first book. Sure it was on the Internet, so it was easy to find. The super-cool part is that this is an e-book for my Palm! I've been looking for an e-book reader that really works and a book to test it out on. From the list of books on

This story was totally awesome -- the very first book I read online, too. I am now trying my best to find the ebook (if one exists) of the Susan Kay book "PHANTOM". If anyone knows where I might find an ebook for this, please email me ASAP. My eyes await the words about the life and adventures of Erik!!!!!!! I am in total love with this story......the phantom has ensnaired me for all time. Please release an ebook for "PHANTOM" by Susan Kay. Now......how do I pass this book along so it is not "in the wild"? LOL!!!!
I "found" this book at http://www.bookworm.thecheshirekat.com. Haven't read it yet. I became interested because I'm currently reading The Phantom of Manhattan by Frederick Forsyth. "Manhattan" is the alleged sequel to M. Leroux's original novel. Mr. Forsyth wrote a lengthy preface in his book about the original story and the many variations that have made it to the media since that made me want to read this. After a couple hours of reading, I'm halfway through "Manhattan". It's quite entertaining thus far. When I'm done, I'll start this one.
