A fascinating experiment, and one that even very young people can learn much from.

This story is still very relevant. I have always been more optimistic about human nature. When I see people behaving badly toward each other, I think that if only we could drop them off on a desert island somewhere and they would have to learn to cooperate. However, that experiment yields the exact opposite result-- it supposes the human moral system to be superficial. I sincerely hope that isn't true.
