Like Water for Chocolate: A Novel in Monthly Installments with Recipes, Romances, and Home Remedies

Will write a review when I've read it.

Light hearted, but tragic. Everyone dies in some sort of magical way revolving around Tita, the brokenhearted young woman doomed to forgo getting married to take care of her mother.
The recipes are fun, and I love the way the author fuses describing the recipe with how the person is feeling or what they are doing while they cook it.
Finally mailing from my great clean-the-shelves RABACK.

This is a complete unexpected arrival. I am completely surprised. Thankyou very much rubycanary for this book that arrived today. I love the cover, much nicer than the film one that I have seen. Looking forward to reading this, thankyou!
