This is a light and easy read. It is described by the publisher as "a delightfully dishy novel about the all-time most impossible boss in the history of impossible bosses". It is about a young woman out of college who lands her first job working for an unbearable exec in the fashion industry.

This is no work of literary genius - in fact, at times it reads like one of those short stories you might find in a fashion magazine. And it is a little wordy and whinny... but that being said, it is fun!

I was looking for a good dose of book candy with this book and got it - expecations met - satisfied reader!

although i kept plowing through this book and finished it in 2 days, i didn't enjoy it too much. the devil wears prada was very similar to the nanny diaries in that it involves "normal" people in the world of rich, selfish people who can't seem to do anything for themselves. the novel was somewhat boring and repetitive .. it seemed the whole plot revolved around the main character running across town, doing errands. hopefully the next person will enjoy it more. ( next inline in the bookring is kymberlie , but i haven't been able to get in contact with her for her address. i will pm her again and if i don't get a reply , i'll send it onto the next person )

Went through this on vacation in about a day and a half. Breezy, summer read, reads like it was made to be a movie. Maybe Susan Sarandon as Miranda and Reese Witherspoon and Andrea? Could be.

Anyway, (SPOILER)

I was unhappy with the anti-climatic climax. Seems Miranda should have gotten more than a simple F You. I'd have plunged her head in the toilet. Oh, well. Next reader.

This came in the mail recently. I have a slew of other bookrings ahead of it, so it may be a while before I can get to it.
