Nineteen Eighty-Four is porobably the most famous dystopia ever written. George Orwell finished this novel in 1949, just few months before his own death. It echoes the atmosphere of just ended Second World War and also, is a prophecy of coming Cold War. Orwell's, who was disapointed ex-socialist at the time, views about totalitarian society, which could have been Stalinist Soviet Union, Hitler's Nazi-Germany or even the North-Korea of today, are frighting.

In addition to writing an analyze of totalitarian society, Orwell also invented some words that have found their place in modern English. Well, who haven't heard about "the Big Brother", "Newspeak" or "Doublethinking"?
