I've sent this off on the Great Australian Novel bookring. I didn't get a chance to read it :( There was always a bookray or a book requested by another BCer above it on my TBR pile.
I guess I can read it when it eventually comes back.

Received in this morning's mail from twinmaker ...am back at home sick so will start this book after my soup...mmmmm.
24/3/04 - I've read a couple of chapters but haven't enjoyed it and won't be finshing it (and I'm pretty sure it's not because I'm on antibiotics and have low tolerance to just about everything.. there's just too many other good books waiting!).
30/3/04 - Ravenbear's declined due to study at present and jawin's already read it and well quite frankly didn't like it....so PM sent to guinevere69.
31/3/04 - Guinevere69 has already read this one....PM sent to Fire-Dragon.
1/4/04 - No go with Fire-Dragon - has already read and is due to leave the country soon...PM sent to Ferns

Picked this book up from the PO on Saturday (Thanks! Georgie-Shaw) and I hope to have it back on the road in a week or ten days time.
Cary writes so well; very descriptive with such full characterisation. He certainly takes me into the characters' time and world and their minds and hearts. But how could things start off so well with characters who mean so well and then go so unremittantly wrong, wrong, wrong?!
