Journal Entry 1 by booktwitcher from Chelmsford, Essex United Kingdom on Thursday, February 10, 2011
This is one of my favourite type of books - where the author imagines a series events which could have happened in the lives of real people and intertwines with facts. This involves an eighteen month period in the lives of the poets, Tennyson and Clare and Doctor Arnold of the asylum where Clare and Tennyson's brother were kept.
The writing was quite spare and lyrical, but it took a bit of getting used to the almost running together of the different inmates' thoughts and actions.

WILD RELEASE NOTES:
At BX meetup
I read a review of this not long ago and thought I'd like to read it so I'm glad to have picked it up at the meeting tonight.
I'd love to know more about John Clare, but not from this book, which I gave up on as I was not enjoying it.
