Plagued with despair after a nasty divorce, the author, in her early 30s, divides a year equally among three dissimilar countries, exploring her competing urges for earthly delights and divine transcendence. I didn't enjoy this book, thought it was a bit of an indulgent story but I seem to be alone in this opinion going by all the hyoe that is written about it. I hope whoever finds the book gets some enjoyable reading from it.
