This is the first novel by author John Verdon which introduces us to the character Dave Gurney - a retired NYPD homicide detective with an impressive crime rate but a troubled past.
The pace starts very slowly with the story unfolding and certainly gives the reader a cerebral workout - if your a reader who likes to figure out what the killer is up to.
All in all a good read.
