After a messy and very public divorce from her magnate husband, Elizabeth Stuart is persuaded by her old college chum to move from Atlanta to Still Creek, Minn. When car trouble strikes, Elizabeth hoofs it to a construction site - and finds the developer, Jarrold Jarvis, in his car with his throat cut. Sheriff Dane Jantzen figures the deed was done by a transient: Jarrold's wallet was stolen and his glove compartment rifled. Elizabeth, who now owns the local newspaper, suspects most everyone in town: Jarvis had kept a secret list of names of people who owed him money.

WILD RELEASE NOTES:
This book is starting its journey in my Weather/Water/Seasons bookbox - enjoy!
Taken from the weather/water/seasons book box.
I've read this before and enjoyed it both then and now. You do have to kind of suspend reality to accept all the aspects of this story - but who cares. The love story is sweet and engaging, Tami Hoag knows how to create the necessary ingredients to make the reader feel the emotional tremors of the couple falling in love. In this case the couple is in their mid 30's, both with teenage kids, both with painful divorces in their past. They have to learn how to trust again and open up to the possibility of love which of course contains all the possibility of pain and loss. Then there is the mystery part, also very well done. The scene where the killer's identity is revealed is creepy and tense.
If I am going to read mystery-romance Tami Hoag is my first choice of author
