This book almost has a relaxed feel to it for the first half of the book. But being King I knew there had to be a catch to it. In typical King form, he bashes Republicans as closed minded morons, while being closed minded himself. That portion of the Stephen King formula is old and predictable. I don’t often read or listen to King. I have so many books to read that I don’t like to read books that are “preachy.”
The supernatural component, though it exists throughout the book, the horror is not so on the face. I felt the story went on and on and could have been tighter.
My husband and I enjoy art so I enjoyed that section. I listened to the book, partly, because I live an hour south of Sarasota, FL and know the area.
