1988 Harper & Row hardcover, with covered dust jacket, of the original story collection. This copy came from the San Jose Public Library, 20 miles south of here. I found it last year in the free books pile on the porch of Dimond Library here in Oakland.

I can let this go after I read these, and also:
1979 Wereblood [n/a]
1982 The Stuff of Heroes (short story) [read 2021]
1987 The Misplaced Legion [n/a]
1987 Agent of Byzantium [n/a]
1988 Bad Blood (novelette), by Doyle and Macdonald [read 2021]
1988 The Werewolf's Gift (short story), by Emerson [read 2021]
1988 The White Wolf (short story), by Hussey [read 2021]
1988 Not All Wolves (short story), by Turtledove [read 2021]
1988 Wolfskin (short story), by Whittington [read 2021]
1988 Night Calls (short story), by Eliska Kimbriel [read 2021]
1988 Wolf from the Door (short story), by Scarborough [read 2021]
1988 Monster Mash (short story), by Smith [read 2021]
1988 The Passing of the Pack (short story), by Coville [read 2021]
1988 Flesh and Blood (short story), by Davol [read 2021]
1988 Green Messiah (short story), by Yolen [read 2021]
1988 The Wolf's Flock (short story), by Shwartz [read 2021]
1988 Met by Moonlight (short story), by Crompton [read 2021]
1988 A Winter's Night (short story), by Friesner [read 2021]
1988 One Chance (short story), by de Lint [read 2021]

Edit December 7, 2021: This was good, but I just skimmed to end for time. Overall, the stories are all short and very readable, at a glance. And they are all by authors who either were or who became prominent in the fantasy horror fields, as far as I can tell. So this is quality work.
