This is so good! I'm tempted to say that by good luck the publisher chose some of my favorite Parker stories; but really almost all of them are my favorites, so there was a broad target there, easy to hit. Certainly, they were well chosen, with an excellent variety.

And Elaine Stritch did them perfect justice. Her enunciation is perfect, and she can capture a subtext, and the nuances of a character's mood, with the slightest hint of intonation or cadence. I deeply hope someone at Penguin Audio is out laying a trail of bagel crumbs right now to lure her back into their recording studio.

But that's just one person's opinion. Future listeners, what do YOU think of this book?

Boy, oh boy, what a bad BookCrosser I am! This arrived on my doorstep FIVE YEARS AGO in an Audio Bookbox Ray sent on by BigJohnLefty and I promptly put it on top of a bookcase in a Spare Oom and just recently discovered it. I'm going to get it moving again!

Sadly, this book on cassette has travelled to the Great BookCrossing Library in the Sky. Thanks to all who shared it in its lifetime.
