Hyperion
3 journalers for this copy...
For my bday RABCK buddy. This is 4 years of exchanges (or is it 5?) Gosh, you can tell I'm getting old when I can't remember how many years we've been doing this.
It's been a blast!
This is one of my husband's favorite books. When I went to send you our copy, I was told that he wanted it kept. Having decided to send this book to you, I bought a new copy for you. I do have multiple Fall of Hyperion books, and so am sending one of those too. It is not wrapped because it has been bookcrossed and read quite a bit. I did not feel right wrapping it as though it were new.
Have a very happy birthday!

Is it that long, wow, amazing. You'll be pleased to know that it's arrived. Didn't I just send you a Dan Simmons book? I'll have to make sure I read these in order, wouldn't want to get confused.
I started this on Sunday, I'm very excited about this one.
This is a pretty immense Sci-Fi novel, it feels like there are six novellas inside one overarching novel. A War is breaking out whilst seven characters embark on a pilgrimage to a planet called Hyperion, at the beginning of the novel we don't know why these people have been selected but whist they're on their way each character tells their story of how and why they are there. It's a very clever novel, I like the way the stories intertwine to become this bigger story, each of their stories are different yet amazing in their own way.
I can hardly wait to see what happens next but that's fine as I started the next one in the series this morning.
This is going back on our bookshelf for the time being, not sure if KT-J will want to read it.

Thank you stubee for sending this book oversees. Looking forward to start digging into this epic universe. The joys of bookcrossing. :)
