Leroy's characters are enchanting, her depictions of time and place beautifully detailed and plausib le. This is quite an impressive feat when dealing with such an obscure theme as the paranormal. It is purely a work of fiction and not usually my preferred genre, and yet I was enthralled from beginning to end. Great piece of writing, definitely worth reading.
