Found in the ABC Bookbox.
Taken from the ABC bookbox. Thanks.
I tried to read this, but couldn't get into it. So, I'm putting it into another ABC (already been crossed) bookbox.
I'm taking this out of JennyC1230's ABC bookbox. It looks like an interesting and funny book.
This was a very unique book. Its principal character, Augustus Carp, is a ridiculous character who is completely unaware of how preposterous and even repulsive he is. The situations in the book are quite comic. The book was first published in 1924 but it is set in Edwardian times. Although humorous, the book is a social comment on religious hypocrisy and selfishness. The comic events in the book do make you think about people and their foibles.
Note: This book has been mailed to a fellow bookcrosser. (shhh! It is supposed to be secret.)

This book took a round-about way to wind up back on the east coast. Updating this j/e - this is a bookring! Will check for the next in line, make my selection and add my book, which is waiting.
Checked out both books and picked out this quirky one. Adding to the TBR sooner bookshelf and wrapping the other up with the new book.
tried, but just didn't catch my fancy. But there's a "CARP" in the title, so adding to the set aside books for the animals release challenge

If you aren't familiar with Bookcrossing, take a few minutes to check out this very cool site. Bookcrossers LOVE books, and more than anything, they love to read books and then set them free for other people to find and enjoy. I would love it if you would leave a journal entry -- you can say where you found the book or how you liked it when you read it. Then, when you are ready, pass it along for someone else to enjoy!
Thanks and happy reading!
