Picked up at the November meeting; how is it that I invariably end up coming home with more books than I bring?

Journal Entry 4 by megami-no-ushi at Elite Sports therapy - Marda Loop in Calgary, Alberta Canada on Tuesday, November 23, 2010

Released 13 yrs ago (11/25/2010 UTC) at Elite Sports therapy - Marda Loop in Calgary, Alberta Canada

WILD RELEASE NOTES:

I left this in the lobby of Elite Sports therapy.

When I picked this book up at the meeting, locker monster told me they had read some of the books in the series too and if I wanted I could just re-release it as a good paranormal mystery. I started reading the first chapter and realized that the character was ringing bells for me too - I'd read one of the later books in the series as well. For the first book in the series it certainly is set up for a prequel to be written - there's a whole set of crazy circumstances that sets up the novel that seems to have enough action and intrigue to warrant a novel. It was an interesting read.

To the finder:
Calgary has an active group of BookCrossers that meet to swap books and discuss book crossing every second Saturday of the month at 11am at the Joshua Tree Cafe on Edmonton Trail. We always love to meet new crossers, so please join us any time you like!

This was my first literary foray into the world of fantasy. I found it a little corny, but thought it was a fun romp overall.

I forgot to mention that I left the book at the Mosquito Creek Hostel on the Jasper Highway. I left it there today, January 1, 2011.

Found this paperback at a backwoods hostel north of Lake Louise early in 2011. I took it with me as emergency fire starter or crumpled paper stuffing to keep me warm in my layers, but once I was safe I started reading it instead. It's slight and airy but fun, if you're not looking for anything to chew. I acquired several meatier books over the holidays that sit on the table glowering for my attention, so I won't be finishing Storm Front. Instead, I'll leave it in Vancouver somewhere. Say, the Broadway/Cambie Canada Line Skytrain station, atop on of the 2nd ticket machine.
