This book actually contains two separate stories--both feel-good Christmas stories. The first one is about a woman remembering her time during World War II. The second story is about a pregnant woman searching out the father of her baby. The second story has more of a religious overtone than what I'm used to but it was still a wonderful story.

Well, tis the season, so thought I would read something Christmasy. I got 2 good stories in this one book.
The first story was about Ruth's grandmother Helen. Her memories about what had happened to her during World War II. It was a shock to Ruth, to know a side of her grandmother that she never knew.
The second story was about a very pregnant, Mary Jo Wyse and her trip to Cedar Cove on Christmas Eve, to locate the father of her baby. How she found Grace and Cliff Harding and them welcoming her into their home. And because of a dizzy spell, meeting firefighter Mack McAfee. Who comes to the rescue and delivers her baby. He starts thinking of Mary Jo and the baby as the family he'd like to be his.
