Journal Entry 1 by BookGroupMan from Chester, Cheshire United Kingdom on Sunday, October 24, 2010
This is one of two books that I picked up at the Waterloo 'Camel & Artichoke' meeting, part of a large donation - so I am duty-bound to register. Thank you :)

Sub-titled '101 things not to do before you die', an antidote and counterblast to the new industry of things one *must* do before one dies, or in the words of the blunt Yorkshire author, '...be careful what you wish for - it might be a bit rubbish'

(30/10/10) Despite the obvious appeal to controversy, sarcasm & satire, Richard Wilson (no not *that* Richard Wilson) does have some interesting observations on the cult of the 'must-do' lists. His mockery is mostly aimed at the list-makers and the blind collectors of experiences...although he does a good stereotype of a grumpy Yorkshireman regarding anything that involves too much effort, peril or cost.

(ps. this is quite a good book for ideas on places to visit, things to do, books & films to try, but don't tell RW!)

WILD RELEASE NOTES:

Found it on the bookshelf in Caffe Nero (Ipswich) a few months ago. Very funny - thank you BookGroupMan for releasing it there (and apologies for not journalling the find sooner - I know how nice it is when one of my releases is journalled by someone).

Left at the Ridge Cafe in Haldon Forest, Exeter in the mountain bike magazine basket.
Hope you enjoy it.
