A quiet tale about an island off the coast of France; neighborhood relation, intrigue, love. An interesting book by the author of "Chocolate."

Good read, and yet for some reason at times I was irritated by this book. Somehow I kept seeing scenes from Chocolat, and was disturbed by the small town feuds.. Quite a bit of frustration and sorrow in this book, perhaps that is what disturbed me. In which case when it all simmers down I may decide I actually liked it more than I think.
The book is currently in Mallorca- very appropriate, given the insular theme! Thanks so much for the RABCK.
