Q is for Quarry
3 journalers for this copy...
Found in an op shop in good condition. To be added to the Sue Grafton collection I have still to read.
Been sitting on my shelf too long unread. Time to send it across the seas to a new reader. Hope you enjoy the book jalna.
You probably didn't think "a while" would be 7 years, so I thought I'd give an update!
I finally had all the Alphabet series collected and the time to start reading them (some of them "reading them again") and I have been steadily working my way through the alphabet at a steady pace. I aim to read 2 chapters a day and have pretty much stuck to that, though the books have tended to get longer. To-day I will start on Q, which has 26 chapters so in a couple of weeks I hope to be looking for a new home for it.

Yes, Meganh, I did enjoy it! I found the Author's Note at the end particularly interesting and in a way I would have liked that to have been (with some amendments) positioned at the start of the book.
This is quite a thick book, largely due to Sue Grafton's habit of describing every person, every location, every action in the minutest detail, which isn't always necessary, I feel. There are a lot of characters and I nowadays - at my great age! - I find it quite difficult to keep track of who is who.
I have a new reader lined up for this book and it will be in its way in due course.

Now on its way with a few more to my friend who is following me in the Alphabet marathon.
Thank you for sending me to this and I look forward to reading it.
