Ah ha, look and you shall find! This pristine 2nd hand copy found in Hadleigh...number 7 ('007'!) in my Bond re-read challenge :)
(05/10/10) Fleming and Bond are well into their stride now. This edition is jam-packed with iconic images including; the Fort Knox robbery, gold-covered girl (Jill Masterton), lesbian gang leader Pussy Galore, Oddjob etc. The only thing missing is the made-up film line,"No Mister, I expect you to die." He doesn't of course, our hero continues his alcohol-fuelled, racist, sexist, and utterly bonkers career as the MI6 go-to hired gun.
JB to PG, 'They told me you only liked women.' She said, 'I never met a man like you before.'

Shh, I dropped this in the usual place, not so much a 'dead letter drop' as a regular letter box...for Pete, erm, I mean agent X!
I ended up reading this book twice, as I left it so long to journal I couldn't remember the detail. :)
Another rip-roaring secret agent affair. Interesting to discover that the famous laser cutting scene in the movie originally used a circular saw. The Bond girl sisters unfortunately didn't seem to come off particularly well, this time.
I was also surprised to discover Oddjob was as strange as depicted on screen - I'd assumed that he'd been fleshed out for the cinema.
Still, another enjoyable affair, jetting across the globe. A lot of implausible plot twists, but that's all part of the fun. :)

Released 11 yrs ago (12/2/2012 UTC) at CoffeeLink, Neptune Marina in Ipswich, Suffolk United Kingdom
WILD RELEASE NOTES:
Dropped off at the OBCZ, ready for the next agent to find it ...
I have accepted the mission, and collected this book from the Ipswich OBCZ. I read all of the Bond books back in my teens, and twenty years on, I am sure they will still be as full of adventure as they were then.
I love the original Bond books, so always grab one when I see it. Read this whilst on holiday...ideal for relaxing of an evening. You know the story...it is the same as the film...but the writing makes this. The attention to detail is wonderful...it feels so of its time. Will pass on to Beebarf and then release.
Picked up to re-read for the first time since my childhood - thank you!
