As usual the descriptions of the West Country & the sense of place are thoroughly enjoyable - the actual who-dunnit part of the equation was a bit pedestrian I felt with not many surprises but still an enjoyable read - I bought the book at Hangleton library as a withdrawn book & intend to set it on its journey on a train going westward so hopefully it may reach its spiritual home sometime - maybe !

Plan to set book free either on train going west or on Bognor Regis rail station tomorrow as I travel for a coastal walk around Bognor ....
