I've not read a Michael Crichton book before. I knew he had Harvard Medical background and I assumed he would have had too much medical jargon in the book and I wouldn't enjoy the book so much. Boy was I wrong. There was enough medical information for the reader to understand what was the medical procedure was and the implications, and it was described in a way so the reader wasn't lost in medical terms.
The pace of the book, while it takes place over the course of 5 days, moves fast. There really aren't any surprises or twists, but is still completely engaging. And even though it was written in the early 70s, this book is probably even more relevant today.
