Meg Langslow is helping her boyfriend at a convention, where everyone is in costumes! A wild wacky ride for the reader but it moves quickly. Now ready for a new reader.

Thanks bookstogive! I read the first book in this series last year and fell in love. Meg's family is crazier than mine, and I didn't think that was possible. Mt. TBR is currently huge, but I have a feeling these books will cut in line in front of many that have been there longer.

When I finish reading this one, I will send it to MaryZee or lils74 if MaryZee has a copy already.

Tons of fun! Love the wild and wacky convention goers and the parrots and monkeys. Was hoping that the problem of Spike would be resolved, but alas, no. I got a kick out of the names of the characters revolving around medicine, since I read medical records for a living I picked up on that one pretty early. And I did figure out whodunit while Meg was explaining the motive she was sure was behind it all, but I enjoyed the part played by Salome in the conclusion.

Will add this to the package of wishlist books going to lils74 in Nepal -- should be ready to send off tomorrow. Looking forward to the next book in the series and seeing if Meg's mother really does insist on all her crazy decorating schemes.

This arrived safely today as part of a large and unexpected package of books--how kind of you, 6of8, to send so many so far. I've always enjoyed the books you send me! And this is especially welcome, as I am nearly out of light reads... :)

Grabbed this as my next to-read book, as I've tagged another BCer with it in the wishlist tag game; it was a quick, fun read that I finished yesterday. It's the second book I've read in this series (though not in order); the first I read was Cockatiels at Seven, which is several books farther along. I liked this one much, much better. For some reason I think the other one is better read once you know the series, as both the story and the characters felt quite disjointed to me. This one, on the other hand, works equally well as a fun stand-alone read. Also, being set at a convention full of quirky TV series fans, it was fun and also a peek into an interesting world. I did guess whodunnit -- or have a pretty strong idea -- before the end, but it was still clever and didn't ruin the fun. And finally, call me silly but even when authors are using sort of corny, catchy names (such as this series uses) I like it when they relate a little to the plot. The other barely mentioned cockatiels, but this one has a LOT of parrots! Really enjoyed reading this one!

Wow, a big fat rugged envelope covered with Nepalese stamps - it has probably gone up and down the mountains on a Post Elephant or something... The packet looked liked it had travelled around the world in eighty days...
Thanks for this wishlist book, looking forward to reading it soon.

Shame on me! It's been almost seven long years since my last confession, not to mention the day I got this book. Came her to confess that I have indeed began reading it last night, I now have dark bags under my eyes and I try not to yawn when talking to clients. So thank you so far, will try to finish the book tonight.

By the way, rumour has it that BC-Convention will be held in Finland in 2021. Nobody knows who is behind TeamFinland2021. I suspected ApoloniaX for a while, but I guess she is off the hook now. You are all welcome to come, from far and further. Hopefully a murder does not take place in that Convention, but I am going to try out a Murder Walk in Helsinki in a few weeks time to see if that could be a pre-convention thing.

This was a good and entertaining mystery! I did guess who the guilty one was but I thought it was far from being obvious. Luckilly I have more of these Meg Langslow mysteries on the TBR shelf as I look forward to reading more of these fun characters.
