Patricia Cornwell turns from forensics to police procedures in her latest novel, Hornet's Nest. This book is less a thriller than a character study of the main characters: Judy Hammer, chief of police in Charlotte, North Carolina; Hammer's deputy, Virginia West; and Andy Brazil, a young reporter assigned to ride with the police as they go about their jobs. --This text refers to an out of print or unavailable edition of this title.

The book finally arrived in my hands. Is it a coincidence that yesterday I passed from the local post office and made enquires about it? Is it a coincidence that I didn't exactly welcome the comment of the stupid girl that since it wasn't sent as registered post they can't guarantee that it will arrive? Is it a coincidence that I called the delivery headquarters and made enquires about this book? Anyway at least I can still claim that no book has been lost during posting. Thanks again annadvarna for the book. I will take it with me to Holland.

Journal Entry 3 by Alerion at Athens - Αθήνα, Attica Greece on Monday, May 9, 2011
After quite some time I managed to start and finish this book. It was easy to flow and quite interesting, but maybe the way it finished seemed a bit clumsy and fast to me. Building such a thorough study of the characters as annadvarna says and then finishing it fast. I won't give more details because they will be spoilers. But nevertheless it was a nice way to pass my time.

It is already on its way back home to Greece with tzoutzou so as to be given to taksidiarikopouli, who has asked me for it.

Okay, the book came in my hands, somehow. Someone -I don't remember who, maybe it was tzoutzou- was certain I wanted this book. As i 'm no longer certain about anything, including books I like to read, I just accepted the offer. Now I see that taxidiarikopoul actually wished to read it, so I'll pm her and pass it on to her on the first chance.

Now it came in my hands! I'll try to pass it to taxidiarikopoul.

Nice story, ends in a hurry.

Θα ρωτήσω πρώτα το πουλί μας, αν το θέλει...
