I got about a hundred pages into it but still just didn't seem to care about the characters or what was happening to them. So, I gave it up. I was enjoying the quirky writing style though, so I'd give this author another chance.

A good mystery story with Mary DiNunzio as the investigator when her high-school rival Trish Gambone vanishes right after she had asked DiNunzio for help from her live-in boyfriend, an abusive, drug dealer for the South Philly mob. A decent read.
