I found this well written with an interesting premise, lightly humorous and an easy read. However I wasn't happy with the ending when *SPOILER ALERT* Delia went back 'home' for her daughter's wedding and her family immediately drop back into assuming she'll be around and taking her for granted, asking what's for lunch (when really she was a visitor) and the like and her husband being as uncommunicative as before - I couldn't understand why she'd go back to that having worked so hard to make an independent life.
Having said that, this is the first Anne Tyler that I've read and I would read more.

Well written with interesting characters but a slightly disappointing ending.
