This tale is for both young adults (15 +) and adults, though this statement should not at all reflect on the maturity or seriousness of the novel. Quozl is perhaps one of the best stories that I've had the good fortune of reading.

A fair combination of subtle humour and first contact fantasy contests many ideals already in place in North Amercia, despite the years that have passed since its publication.

Despite the first few scenes of the opening storyline (which do seem a touch slow), the pace is picked up dramatically, telling of aliens who have landed in America--many of whom have never seen their home planet. When it is discovered that earth is occupied by clumbsy humans who are prone to violence, the Quozl seek refuge underground and attempt to keep their presence a secret.

The occasional rogue Quozl escapes to explore topside, where more encounters ensue and the story really begins.

Snagged the book from my wife before she tossed it out in the wild, but once I've finished it, it's catch and release time :)
