We were dropping a friend off at the airport today. We took a bag of books along to leave on the USO bookshelf. My husband couldn't resist picking this book up.

My husband just finished this book and said it was possibly the worst western he ever read. We are reserving it for Eastbaybookmisr who likes Max Brand books.

Edit November 27, 2017: I enjoyed this main character named Sleeper, very much. The author has a great way of inventing enigmatic characters who are always unique and surprising. This does read very much like a story collection, of loosely connected vignettes, rather than as a cohesive novel. I currently have this ranked at #385 on my ranked list of best-read books lately.
