Irene Beltrain, the beautiful, unconventional daughter of a wealthy family, is a journalist on a popular women's magazine in an unnamed South American military dictatorship. Her photographer, Francisco Leal, is the son of a Marxist professor, an exile from Spain.

Together they stumble upon a mass grave where the bodies of people tortured and murdered by the police have been dumped.

As their love grows in the shadow of death, they strugle to bring those responsible to justice and are quickly engulfed in a vortex of terror and violence.

Reistered for today's Birmingham Meetup.
