This Book is Currently in the Wild!
1 journaler for this copy...
1985 Bantam paperback of the 1979 bestseller about the pioneers of rocket flight. This was on my list of the best 100 modern books to read when I found this copy a couple years ago for 10 cents on the sale shelf of Dimond Library.
I can let this go after I read:
1964 Thursday Morning in a New York Subway Station (essay) [read 2011]
1970 Radical Chic and Mau-Mauing the Flak Catchers [read 2021]
Edit May 19, 2020: A very thorough and entertaining account of the men in this slice of history. It runs a bit long, and so I skimmed to the end. I currently have this ranked at #1491 on my ranked list of best-read books lately.
