The Virginian
2 journalers for this copy...

The most classic western story ever, originally written in 1902. This copy is from 1965, hence older than the ISBN numbers. This would probably make a nice read for soldiers far far away...
From back cover:
"When you call me that, smile."
"This famous expression first appeared in the book you now hold in your hand. Millions of people have read and loved The Virginian since it was first published. It is the most popular Western novel ever written and has been produced as a movie four different times.
His name was simply the Virginian. He was a cowboy. But the minute you saw him you knew that here was a man: tall, with curly hair as black as coal, dusty chaps, jingling spurs, a loaded cartridge belt slanted across his hips. This is his story - climaxed by the most famous gun duel in Western fiction."
