Some notes on the stories that I've read so far (before I forget what I thought about them):
Apart from "Jack" by China Miéville, which I already knew, my favourites so far are "The Braining of Mother Lamprey" by Simon D. Ings (because I like the world he describes, and the Age of Death vs. the Age of Life), "Immolation" by Jeffrey Thomas (nice structure, characters and character names), and "Watson's Boy" by Brian Evenson (because it's the most disconcerting story I've read in a while, and it's quite surrealist and reminds me of the story which forms the framework of Michael Ende's Der Spiegel im Spiegel).
I'm also very glad that the editors provide a lot of additional information about the New Weird moment/movement/category, and more Weird literature recommendations.
