1977 Pocket Books paperback of the 1976 Watergate memoir. A Book-of-the-Month Club Selection. I found this copy some months ago in the free books pile on the porch of Dimond Library.
Edit March 8, 2021: This was a sometimes fascinating glimpse into the Watergate thing, from one of the key inside players. It is a bit self-serving, but it paints a picture of how politics gets done, and how law gets weaponized around it, selectively. Arguably, our government has recently done much, much worse, in moves for which nobody will ever be held accountable, and which may destroy the lives of hundreds of millions of Americans. So it all just depends on where the power is, in any slice of time in a society. Bottom line is that this was a good read, but I did skim to end because it runs long. I currently have this ranked at #1964 on my ranked list of best-read books lately.
