Very graphic - too much information! It was interesting though....

Too Much Information.... from what mrtoadscoffee and buttonbright have said about this book, I really don't know what to expect other than an "interesting" read....

Well, this was supposed to be a totally scandalous book that I figured would be overwhelming, but instead it's just a string of "we did this, I did that, what was his name again?" sort of stuff. Not very exciting. I guess I just can't get interested in someone else's life quite in this way, no matter what succulent details are included.
There are some non-sexy parts where she explores not-too-deeply why she thinks she has behaved in the way she has. Or at least I think that's what she's doing. I think there are nuances that were lost when this book was translated from the French; it seems like some passages come off as stilted or bland, almost lacking feeling.

Anyone who wishes that they had led *her* life instead, raise your hands. No hands? I thought so.
