This is one of my favorites by Copeland. He takes you on a "On the Road" style journey through the lives of his characters who are trying to come to terms with "Life without God." In some sense, I see this novel asking the question: When we don't have faith to fall back on, what do we have? Constantly subsumed with the project of characterizing and narrativizing "Generation-X," Copeland doesn't disappoint this time around.
