I took this from the fantastic meeting in Zoomers on the beach at Castricum on 20th June. I've been wanting to read this for a long time, but wasn't sure if I had it on my personal bookshelf, or whether it was another book with labryrinth in the title (by Kate Mosse). I took it hoping it was the one I didn't already have, but unfortunately it's already there, on the shelf in my living room. So I will add it soon to the expat club's book, which are registered on Bookcrossing as ForeignExchange. I hope somebody from the club will want to read it.

CONTROLLED RELEASE NOTES:

Given to a friend during a football-free evening during the World Cup, in the garden of a mutual friend. I chose this book to give to her as her name is Rose. I hope she enjoys it. If not, she can return it to me for the ForeignExchange book boxes, or pass it on to somebody else.

This book has been released as part of the following BookCrossing challenges:
- The Ultimate Challenge - read and release books, with extra points for a monthly theme.

Journal Entry 4 by bookguide at Wijchen, Gelderland Netherlands on Sunday, May 19, 2013
My friend gave this back to me and I decided to read it for the Ultimate Challenge theme of colours in May 2013.

Released 10 yrs ago (5/18/2013 UTC) at Hortus Botanicus Amsterdam in Amsterdam, Noord-Holland Netherlands

WILD RELEASE NOTES:

Took this to read on the train on the way to and from a BookCrossing wedding in Amsterdam. The bride and one of the guests were releasing books there, and I said I regretted not bringing a book to release, but I had another copy of this book at home, so I could leave this book behind... My arm was duly twisted by DiscoveryLover, a photo was taken of the label so I could release it when I got home, and the book was left on the table. Later on, Silver78 was spotted with the book, but then gave it to DiscoveryLover (who's from New Zealand) to take home as it was the only book in English there. Now I have to find the other copy so I can continue to read it. I kept nodding off on the train this morning when I was reading; I hope it was just the early start.
P.S. I had to buy a new book to read on the train on the way home, 'Stop What You're Doing and Read This!', a collection of essays about the need for books and reading. I wouldn't have bought it if it hadn't been for DiscoveryLover. Thank you, it's great!

Well, either Discoverylover forgot to take it with her, or she changed her mind as I found it in the crates of decor when we got home. I'll release it again :)

Synposis:
"Before his death in 1609, the brilliant Elizabethan spy and astrologer John Dee hid his most astonishing secrets, trusting his descendants would one day bring them to light. That time has come. In 2003, Will Stafford inherits a strange legacy from his mother: a key and an ancient script with an enigmatic note. Intrigued, he travels Europe seeking answers to Dee's riddles, unaware that someone is following every move. Back in London, Lucy King becomes entangled in Will's cryptic labyrinth. As its mysterious twists take her from France to New York, and from literature to myth, in search of its hidden treasure, she has never been closer to the truth, nor in graver danger."
