Found this (in excellent used condition) on Play.com. Arrived today, just registering ready for reading. It ranks number 47 on the Whitcouls Top 100 List which I am trying to read my way through.

It is also Book 1 in Wilbur Smith's Egyptian Novels Series.

I've just finished this amazing book (and left it rather battered, from carrying it around with me everywhere). Wilbur Smith is a master of his trade. He takes the reader on such an epic journey. This book has everything, authentic historical feel, romance, drama, suspense, action...I really felt I was in Ancient Egypt experiencing all I was reading! The charachters are brilliant! I love their relationships with each other. I also love the way Mr Smith puts the charahters in jeopardy and skillfully navagate them around it to the other side! The Authous note at the end has left me very intregued. Is it true? This book is a definate keeper!
