I had this book on my wishlist and then found a copy at the library's used book sale last weekend. I've just started. It's very different; I feel like I've been transported to a Japanese food factory -- a place I'd never thought about before.

I really enjoyed the Japanese suburban setting of this book. For some reason, I kept picturing it the same way I picture rowhouses and flats in England. I don't know why; I've never been to either country. Very unique setting to me.

I wasn't particularly interested in the yakuza aspect of the story, but loved the way the author tied everything together so that you could see how intricately the book was structured the whole way through. I may look for more by this author in the future.

I was fortunate enough to attend a meeting held at the Contemporary Arts Center. While there, I had a chance to look through the Shepard Fairey exhibit. Then I left this book on the free newspaper stand as I left the building. Enjoy!
