I bought 16 books for my TBR pile today at the Phoenix Association's Giant Book Sale in aid of animal rescue. Each at only 1 euro. This is one of them.

A great page-turner of how several people all get caught up by chance in the same series of events in Edinburgh during the Edinburgh Festival. A case of road rage, a mistaken victim, a mysterious house-cleaning business called "Favours". A retired detective on holiday, a man in hospital, an unhappy rich wife, a single mother and even a circus all feature in this mystery, with an ending that has the reader saying "Aha, so that's why, how, who and where!"
